Water and Environment Joint Stock Company (WACO) on April 9, 2007 held a groundbreaking ceremony to start work on the Sa Dec Water Treatment Plant of the Sa Dec Industrial Park. Present at the ceremony were local government representatives and tenants of the industrial park. This project was invested by Dong Thap Housing and Industrial Zone Development Investment Company (HIDICO), with total contract value of VND14,685,280,000. Main construction items included 3 drilled wells, a raw water intake pipeline, and a groundwater treatment plant with a capacity of 4,500 m3/day (a pressure filter, a filter tank, a treated water reservoir, a treated water pumping station). The project will be completed for one year. As the EPC contractor of the project, WACO is responsible for everything, from groundwater exploration to design, provision of equipment, construction of all items, trial operation and operational training.
