Work starts on HCMC water treatment plant

 

 

The Water and Environment Joint Stock Company (WACO) will today start work on a water treatment plant in the outlying Ho Chi Minh City district of Cu Chi, the company said in a statement.

The Kenh Dong Water Treatment plant, which will cost nearly

VND216 billion (US$13.5 million), is part of the city’s $60 million water supply project in Thuong Hamlet of Tan Thong Hoi Commune.

Upon completion in August 2009, the plant will be able to provide 200,000 cubic meters of water a day to Cu Chi, part of Long An Province and residential areas of HCMC.
