| WACO on November 18, 2002 signed a contract with Can Tho Water Supply Company on engineering, procurement and construction of a water treatment plant for Tra Noc Industrial Park/Export Processing Zone. The project aimed to design and construction of a water supply system with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day for Tra Noc IP/EPZ from November 2002 to August 2003. Total contract value was VND21,520,000,000. Main construction items included a raw water intake pumping station of 40,000 m3/day, a raw water DN600 (ductile cast iron) pipeline, a mixing tank, a flow splitting tank, a pulsator sedimentation basin, a rapid filter, a treated water pumping station of 20,000 m3/day, a treated water reservoir of 4,000 m3, a chlorination system, lime and alum metering systems, a sludge basin as well as buildings, landscape, mechanical and electrical engineering, technical training, etc. The Tra Noc Water Treatment Plant is planned to have total capacity of 40,000 m3/day, including 10,000 m3/day in Phase 1 and 30,000 m3/day in Phase 2. Total funding for the project was US$7 million. |
