| In the morning September 08th 2009, Phú Mỹ Vinh Joint Stock Company and Water and Environment Joint Stock company (WACO) held inauguration ceremony of Đức Hòa III water supply plant, 15.000 m3/day capacity. At the ceremony there were Mr Lê Văn Chính- vice secretary of Provincial Party Committee (PPC) of Long An province, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Nguyên- vice chairman of People's Committee, Mr. Vũ Kim Quyến- executive director of network for Southeast Asia, Mr. Nguyễn Trường Giang- chief government office, along with officials representing the departments in Long An province.
Water supply plant project of Đức Hòa III is known as a part of the investment project for water supply system and Xuyen A Industrial Park and Đức Hòa III Industrial Park, 30.000m3/day capacity, in which groundwater resource is 15.000m3/day and surface water resource is 15.000m3/day. Initially this project was assigned to Long An water supply limited company as the investor. Because of the difficulties from budget capital, Long An People's Committee changed investors to Phu My Vinh Company- private joint stock company as main investors in order to implement and complete quickly projects, ensuring clean water supply for production and living of the industrial zones and residential areas.
This is the right decision in accordance with policies for the socialization of government and in accordance with Decree 117/2007/ND-CP of the Government on the production and clean water supply and ensuring building progress of infrastructure investment quickly at industrial zones.
At ceremony, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Nguyên- vice chairman of Long An People's Committee was very excited and happy because of capital contribution by Phú Mỹ Vinh Joint Stock Company and Water and Environment Joint Stock Company (WACO), not the state capital and at the same time directing People's Committee of Duc Hoa District and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment made a positive decision of PPC on the management and exploitation of underground water to protect precious providing water and environment, preserve groundwater, avoid widespread exploitation, depleted water resource and affect soil and ecological environment.
Finally, the guests visited the factory. This is the first company in the cooperation between Phu My Vinh joint-stock company and Water and Environment Joint Stock (WACO), with total investment of Phase 1 VND80 billion, the percentage of each capital contribution 50%.
Next the two sides will cooperate together for investment projects of Hoa Khanh Tay 80,000 m3/day total capacity, worth total investment capital $68 million, including $60 million funded by ODA loans, $8 million of government capital, and investment for water supply project- Kinh Dong Long An 50.000m3/day capacity, total investment capital over VND140 billion to buy clean water from water supply plant Kinh Đông in Ho Chi Minh to serve the Industrial Park Đức Hòa I and Đức Hòa II. The cooperation between Phu My Vinh Joint Stock Company and Water and Environment Joint Stock Company (WACO) is to develop water supply network for industrial zones and resident at Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Can Giuoc district as province’s plan.
